About Judge Holly Williamson
Judge Holly Williamson was sworn in as presiding judge of Precinct 8, Place 1 on January 1, 2009. She has also served as Co-Presiding and Presiding Judge for all sixteen Harris County justice courts, from 2010 to 2015 and again from 2019 to now. In 2025 the Supreme Court of Texas appointed her to its Eviction Rules Task Force.
She earned an economics degree from Southwest Texas State University and her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center, and has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 1997. Her court page lists Judge of the Year honors in 2018 and 2025.
