About Judge Jo Ann Delgado
Judge Jo Ann Delgado was first elected Justice of the Peace for Precinct 2, Place 1 in January 2001 and was re-elected to a seventh term in 2025. Her court page says she was the first Hispanic woman elected to the office in Harris County, and that she brings more than 41 years of justice court and county court administrative experience.
She is a certified mediator, served as Presiding Judge of the Harris County Justice Courts from 2007 to 2009, and has taught as faculty at the Texas Justice Court Training Center. She was born in San Antonio and holds a business administration degree from LeTourneau University.
